Dunroamin Gallery is the home studio of Bernice Collingridge. Bernice has a love of art that came later in life, stimulated in part by many recent travels coupled with a career stoppage due to cancer. Formal training has included efforts in watercolour, acrylic, and oil – the highlight being a student at Jesus Estevez Art Academy in Belleville, Ontario. Bernice is a native of Kirkland Lake, and now resides in Wooler, Ontario. She is married with four children and four grandchildren.
Dunroamin Gallery was established in 2015 in Wooler, Ontario. The first floor is a fine art gallery consisting of works of the host artist, local guest artists, and student artists. The second floor is an art studio that accommodates group art workshops and private art lessons.
The owners of Dunroamin Gallery would like to give credit where credit is due. A local builder, Steve Voskamp Carpentry, came up with great ideas from start to finish, incorporating building techniques and features that made the building functional and comfortable. The landscaping outside the building complements the interior, and was performed by Ray Van Egmond of Outdoor Design. The painstaking detail by Steve and Ray were instrumental in bringing to life the gallery that the owners envisioned. And so, the end of the journey is the beginning of the dream – the art gallery at the end of the driveway – at 2405 County Road 40, Wooler, Ontario.
Novice artists interested in taking classes in oil or acrylic painting are encouraged to contact Bernice at 613-397-1562 and inquire about instruction opportunities.
